At this time every year Vacaville Nissan is flooded - not with rain but rather business owners in a mad dash to save tens-of-thousands of dollars on their taxes. The saying "You gotta spend Money to Make Money" definitely applies in this situation and here's how.

First let me start out with saying that I am not a tax consultant. I find the tax code to be vague, generalized and flat out boring. What I do know is that there is a benefit for some companies to purchase Nissan NV Cargo Vans for their company use and that you should consult your accountant or CPA prior to making any purchases.

For most businesses that purchase vehicles for business use that have a Gross Vehicle Weight of over 6,000 lbs. there is the previously stated "huge" tax benefits. The IRS allows businesses to write off large amounts of the purchase price for vehicles that fit the criteria under Section 179 in the tax code. The amount able to be written off varies from company to company but here is a example calculation of what you may be able to write off.

Nissan rebate targets Ford and Chevy Owners

Nissan Commercial Vehicles Targets the Competition

November 4th, 2013

Nissan Commercial Vehicles announced Friday a new Customer Incentive aimed at acquiring more business from its competitors.

The Nissan Commercial Vehicle Conquest program rolled out the 1st of November offering current registered owners and lessees of competitor vehicles an additional rebate not previously available.

If a customer is the current owner or lessee of a Ford or Chevrolet Cargo Van or Pick-up they will be entitled to an additional $1,000 rebate on top of all other offers! This is obviously aimed and stealing business from its main competitors during the 4th quarter, which is typically "white-hot" in Commercial Vehicle Sales.

Which vehicles qualify? Well, here's a partial list of which vehicles will qualify for the program:

• Chevrolet: Express 1500, 2500 or 3500 cargo vans. Silverado 1500, 2500 or 3500 Pickups
• Ford: E150, E250 or E350 Cargo Vans or F150, F250, or F350 Pickups
• Dodge: Ram 1500, 2500 or 3500 Pickups, Ram Vans or Sprinters
• GMC: Savannah 1500, 2500 or 3500 or Sierra 1500, 2500 or 3500 Pickups
• Mercedes: Sprinter Vans

Things to keep in mind in order to qualify:

• The Competitor Vehicle must be currently registered/owned by the Customer
• The vehicle does NOT need to be traded in at the time of purchase of a new Nissan NV
• The Nissan NV must be registered/titled the same way as the competitor vehicle 
• This program may not be in available in all areas (it is in Vacaville, CA though

Why I think the Nissan NV is better than a Ford Van

Aside from the obvious styling differences there are several things that set the Nissan NV Cargo Van apart form its competition. Let me preface the following paragraphs by saying each manufacturer has attributes that set it apart from one another, and then find ways to make those attributes sound like a benefit over the competition. Here are some of the Nissan NV Cargo Van attributes that I think are undeniably a benefit, no matter how one looks at them!

10. Braking - The Nissan NV has the largest brake rotors in its class with 14.2" Front and 14.4" Rear Rotors. The larger the rotors, the better they dissapte heat and in turn - the better braking power you have.

9. Turning Radius - The NV has a 45.2' Turning Radius compared the Blue Oval Van which has a 48.6' turning radius. Ever try making a U-Turn at a stop light in a Ford Econoline? I rest my case!

8. Horsepower - The widely popular 4.0L Nissan V6 has 261 horsepower and 281 lb. ft. of torque. When compared the Ford Econoline's 4.6L V8 engine (yes, comparing a V6 to a V8) the Nissan has a 36 horsepower advantage and only 5 lb. ft less of torque.

7. Cargo Height - The Nissan and Ford share similar height profiles yet the Nissan manages to squeeze in an extra 3.9" of cargo height in the back. 3.9" may not sound like a lot until what you are loading does not fit! Also the NV's near vertical sidewalls decrease the "wasted space" behind cargo shelving.

6 .Cargo Width - At 54.3" the Nissan offers over 3" of additional space between the wheel wells over our competitor. Add in the fact our wheel wells are flat and that's a winning combination!

 5. Standard Features - A side by side comparison shows that the Nissan NV Cargo Van has a wide variety of standard options that Ford requires you to pay for such as a CD Player, D-Ring Tie Downs, and a Sliding Cargo Door. There are also many features that the NV Cargo Van offers that Ford does not!

4. Center Console - Contractors need somewhere to store their stuff, charge their phones, keep their files and have a desk to write on. Nissan gets it. Our center console offers all this and much more!

3. Transmission - The NV's engine is paired with a 5 speed automatic transmission while the Ford is still rockin' a 4 speed automatic like they have for 20 years!

Nissan NV200 Cargo Van a BIG HIT here in Northern California

Slowly but surely the Nissan NV200 has been arriving at dealerships across Northern California for the past month or so. The results? It's definitely a sellers market. We are pulling buyers from Sacramento to San Francisco simply because we have the inventory most dealers do not.

The NV200 represents a new class of cargo van first made popular by the Chevrolet Astro back in the 90's. Most recently dominated by the Ford Transit Connect, the compact cargo van market's ranks have expanded to receive the Nissan NV200 with open arms.
